We have completed projects with the University of Leeds and the University of Birmingham, and we maintain close collaboration with the University of Manchester. The primary research topics address wear and erosion resistance of the main components of our products. The potential results include improved performance of components, reduced CO2 emissions, decreased downtime of drilling equipment, cost-per-meter improvements, and reduced oil consumption, among other benefits. This line of research contributes to sustainability by minimizing environmental impact and operational costs while enhancing the longevity and efficiency of drilling equipment.
Material Science
We have an R&D office in England to enhance collaboration with British universities and research centers specializing in related fields.
Key partners in this research include Mines ParisTech in France and Imperial College London in England. The potential applications of this project range from enhancing drilling efficiency to identifying ground conditions during drilling. These advancements aim to improve overall drilling performance, reduce operational disruptions, and optimize the interaction between drilling tools and geological formations. Through these collaborations, DRILLCO® aims to drive innovation in the field, achieving greater safety, productivity, and cost-effectiveness in drilling operations.
